We have carefully selected food tastings in partnership with our vendors that reflect the uniqueness of our area and its food scene, and these selections often include seafood, meat, wheat, and dairy products. Due to the incredibly busy nature of our vendors during the peak season, we can not make arrangements for gluten-free, vegans, vegetarians and food allergies.
If you have severe food allergies to seafood, nuts, wheat, or dairy, a food tour may not be the best idea for you and we ask that you take responsibility for protecting yourself at all times.
The tours are held rain or shine. Tofino is one of the wettest spots in Canada. However, most of this rain occurs from late October til March. We advise to check the weather conditions for your day’s event and dress appropriately.
Even though you are visiting one of the most pet-friendly areas in Canada, animals are not allowed inside places that serve food. And even though we love them, not everyone else loves dogs. Please respect your fellow guests and leave your dogs at home. If you need a dog sitter while in Tofino we have some recommendations that we’re happy to pass your way. If you will be accompanied by a service animal please let us know when you book your tour.
Parking is limited in the town of Tofino. It can be extremely difficult to secure a spot during the busy summer season. We would recommend you walk into town, ride a bicycle, or be dropped off.
If you do need to park, there is a paid parking lot on 3rd & Main Street.
You should give yourself extra time to find parking as it can be difficult, especially from June thru September.
There are a couple of shops that are associated with our food tour where we will allow you some time to have a quick look around and purchase something if you wish.
Bathrooms are available on both of our tours. There are plenty of bathrooms available during the food tour, however, during the history & culture tour, there is less availability.
Absolutely not! Our food tour is the perfect combination of food, history & culture all bundled up into a unique 3-hour experience. Imagine walking through Tofino while eating delicious food while learning all about Tofino from real locals.
You don’t really need to bring anything with you on tour. We do recommend that you bring your camera so you can capture all of your wonderful memories.
Most but not all of the venues are wheelchair accessible. We will be walking 1.5-2km throughout the tour which also includes some steep hills. Please use your own discretion in regard to this manner. Feel free to contact us if you need further details.
At this time, we do not offer tours in any other languages except English.
If you feel that the tour leader met or exceeded your expectations you are welcome to tip them as an expression of your appreciation. Leaving a gratuity is at your discretion and the standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%
We absolutely do! We can accommodate a variety of special requests for your group activity. Please see our Private Tours page for more details.
