“Whether it’s the mayor or some of your pals you often see in the surf, you’re sure to bump into them at Rhino first thing in the morning. Their coffee perfectly perks you up and their signature donuts are to die for. It’s awesome that they’re always coming up with new donuts, too!” – Richard J.

The Great Room @ Long Beach Lodge

1441 Pacific Rim Highway, Tofino BC | 250.725.2442 | Website

“The Restaurant has THE best view in town, no matter which meal you decide to eat at LBL. The menu is well balanced and the breakfast options are changing every year and we found that they do use the best ingredients and are not shy to mix savoury with sweet (Duck and maple waffles).” – Etienne H.

“The view out the window is unbeatable. Everything I eat there I feel like my money is well spent and I leave feeling satisfied. Good breakfast and a view – doesn’t get much better than that.” – Robin H.

“It’s an interesting menu with great tasting food. Both full meals and light bites are available. It’s a nice quiet atmosphere to start the day in with amazing views that are in a league of their own during winter storms.” – Greg P.

“I love to get away from the downtown crowds, enjoy a spectacular meal from a menu that evolves over the months, take in the spectacular view from “The Great Room” and then walk off breakfast up and over to Pettinger Point!” – Claire M.

The Tofitian

“The Tofitian has a plethora of sweet and savoury treats to grab on the go in the morning. The cinnamon bun (sadly, only available on weekends) looks unassuming, but when served warm, it’s like a warm comforting hug. Many of their savoury items have a cracked egg on top which leaves you full and energized for the day ahead.” – Michelle S.

“They have the best coffee in town and their breakfast options accommodate all types of diets. Also for the fact that you can grab and go or sit down and enjoy.” – Mandy M.

Other Favourites…

Wolf in the Fog. The Big Bad Wolf Breakfast is incredible, with great flavours, a side of house-made tater tots is a must and the coffee is amazing!” – Mark S.

1909 Kitchen. It’s usually nice and quiet and the water views are always amazing. A fairly large selection to please almost everyone and they are happy to customize if possible.” – Christina S.

Summit Bread Company and Tofino Roasting Company at Industrial Way. Summit’s got amazing sweet or savoury options while you grab the best coffee in town next door at Tofino Roasting Co.” – Sam C.

Tuff Beans is my favourite spot. Although it is small in size it is big in friendly service and has my order on the table quickly and in exactly the manner I ordered it. Breakfast can make or break my mood sometimes, so to see perfectly cooked, over easy eggs look up at me from my plate, is enough to bring a smile to my face. The cost of a good breakfast of sausage, eggs, hashbrowns and toast is under $10.00. You can’t beat the value.” – Alan C.

Common Loaf Bake Shop. They have a variety of baked goods if I’m not too hungry as well as full amazing meals. As well, the coffee and hot chocolate are fantastic. You also can’t beat sitting on the balcony outside to enjoy coffee any time of the day.” – Maddie O.
