Where You Will Eat

Rhino Coffee House

We start the tour where a majority of locals start their day at Rhino Coffee House which features locally roasted coffee & signature in-house made doughnuts.

Tofino's first vegan/vegetarian restaurant. Get ready to try a unique dish - the King Oyster Mushroom Scallop paired with beer from the Tofino Brewing Company.

Dockside Smoked Fish Store

Truly a local secret. This is where you will get to sample a tour favourite – locally caught smoked salmon.

Picnic Charcuterie

At Tofino Sea Kayaking we will present you with a stunning view to enjoy while you snack on locally smoked & cured meats, cheeses and preserves from Picnic Charcuterie.

A famous Tofino eatery. It’s here where you will taste a Killer Fish Taco - a dish Chef Lisa has been making for over 30 years. We'll pair it with a BC wine.

Schooner Restaurant

Tofino’s oldest restaurant – by far, where you will sample their Old School Clam & Bacon Chowder.

Chocolate Tofino

Every good meal ends with dessert & our tour is no different. We leave you with a voucher to enjoy a scoop of homemade gelato in a waffle cone.

Meeting point is outside of Rhino Coffee House on Campbell Street in Tofino.

Please meet 5-10 minutes before the tour begins. Due to the limited amounts of parking in Tofino, it’s best to arrive well in advance of the tour to assure you can find a parking space before meeting with your guide. Aim to take possibly 5-10 minutes to find parking from June thru September.

There is a paid parking lot on 3rd & Main.

Have questions? Here's the most frequently asked.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

We have carefully selected food tastings in partnership with our vendors that reflect the uniqueness of our area and its food scene, and these selections often include seafood, meat, wheat, and dairy products. Due to the incredibly busy nature of our vendors during the peak season, we can not make arrangements for gluten-free, vegans, vegetarians and food allergies.

If you have severe food allergies to seafood, nuts, wheat, or dairy, a food tour may not be the best idea for you and we ask that you take responsibility for protecting yourself at all times.

Are children allowed on the food tour?

Because there is alcohol served on our food tour, guests must be 19+ years of age. If you look 30 or younger, we may ask you for two pieces of identification.

Mothers nursing babies are welcome however strollers would take up too much room in some of the smaller vendors we visit and therefore, are not allowed on the tour.

For parents with children who wish to take the tour, we have a special partnership with Grandma Marg’s Clubhouse who provides local childcare for your kids while you’re on tour.

Grandma Marg takes children ages 6 months and up.

Rate is $15 per hour for a 4 hour minimum.

Will I be able to shop on tour?

There are a couple of shops that are associated with our food tour where we will allow you some time to have a quick look around and purchase something if you wish.

Do I need to tip?

If you feel that the tour leader met or exceeded your expectations you are welcome to tip them as an expression of your appreciation. Leaving a gratuity is at your discretion and the standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%

Can I get a refund or reschedule?

Through our Ticket Guardian program, you are able to get a full refund of your ticket purchase if you can not make the tour for a variety of reasons. You must let us know prior to the beginning of the tour that you will not be attending the tour in order to make a claim.

When booking a tour, you have the option to opt-in or out of the Ticket Guardian program.
